"Leaky Faucets"

Hey guys!
Yesterday was quite a busy day we made  cookies and did all kinds of other Christmasy stuff. I'm sure I will have a post for you about our cookie making experience, but right now I want to share our fake leaky faucet with you. No, it's not really leaky, I was just having fun making it drip :P I  love taking pictures of water. So here are some pictures from our non-leaking faucet :)

The faucet co-operated quite well, and I was able to get some pretty cool pictures :)

Have an Amazing day everyone! ;)

Family Session in the Park

Hey Everyone :)
So on Monday I had a photo session with an awesome family. They were so much fun and we had a ton of fun together taking pictures even though the weather didn't agree with our happiness. I know they are probably anxious to see the end results of the cold day of posing, and I'm excited to see what they think, so I thought I would post a couple of my favorites for a preview :)

I'm so glad we were up to shoot that day and at that time because an hour after I left its started sleeting and snowing! It was PERFECT timing and the pictures came out great :)

                                           Have a  beautiful day everyone!

Ice Water

Hey Everybody,
So tonight My family and my Pastor and his wife went out to dinner after church. We started talking about photography and  Miss Dawn (My pastor's wife) asked me to show Pastor my new camera and how it worked and what it does, so I showed him and he looked at pictures and then gave it back with a confused look on his face " There's too many buttons" he said, "Not really, especially after you learn what they do," I replied. About that  time the waitress brought an ice water out and set it on the table, I began moving dishes and putting things in place to start taking pictures of this glass of water. Why you ask? Because there was nothing  better to do. I was taking probably my tenth picture when Pastor says "are you really taking pictures of water?" "Yes I am." I said proudly. I continued snapping away. I went about my usual business, turning and moving and fixing every little detail, after about ten minutes of this he finally looked at me and said "Let me see those pictures, there is no way water it is that interesting." "But I haven't gotten the shot I want yet!" Reluctantly I let him see the photos I had taken, and then went back to shooting, these are the finally product that he didn't get to see ;)

Dear Pastor-
More interesting than you thought eh? :)

Have a Gorgeous day everyone!

Hats and Cards

Hey Everyone,
So today it was a pretty dreary day at my house, it actually rained for a bit and it just wasn't a good day to go outside so I was stuck inside looking for things to take pictures of, for a while I was actually taking pictures of walls with shadows on them because I had run out of things to photograph in my bedroom.
Some of my shots were:

How BORING!? A stocking, a hat, and a jewelry holder necklace thing....Not exactly works of art now are they. As I pondered and looked for a more creative photo, I saw a deck of cards. (Actually in the background of the hat photo) I got them out and start shuffling them and then ordering them in the four correct pairs (I'm really not that OCD) After sorting them to my satisfaction I set the hearts on top of the pile and looked at them. All of a sudden a picture came to mind and I immediately set to work getting the shot.

I took so many pictures, trying to get just the right angle and make it look right. I'll save you the time of looking at all of the messy, blurry, and crooked shots I got
Here was the finally product, and I do believe I succeeded in getting the picture I wanted :)

It's a fun picture and I didn't even have to leave my bed to get it ;)
Have a GRRREAT day everyone! :)

P.S: Don't forget about my Christmas Session special! I'd love to catch your holiday memories ;) http://abigailnicolememorycatcher.blogspot.com/2012/11/christmas-pictures.html

Proper Introductions

Hi Everyone! I'm Abigail Nicole. Chances are, if you are reading this then you found it from my first blog: Because everything needs a name, which is my everyday life, "main" blog. Thanks for checking this blog out =)
I'm 16 years old, I have an extreme love for photography and I am getting into it more and more.  I love photographing people, I've taken hundreds of pictures of my friends and so many of them have said I should make a page showing the photos I have taken. So with Christmas coming, and everyone getting dressed up for the holidays I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to start a blog dedicated to my photography. My favorite time of the year is fall and winter, so being able to photograph people at my favorite time is always so much fun. I have three younger siblings, so when it comes to taking pictures of little kids I  consider myself to be pretty good. Practice makes perfect though, you can always do better.
Thanks you so much for reading this short introduction to my new en-devour, feel free to look at the pictures I've posted and I would love to hear what you think :)

                                                                                       Thanks, The Memory Catcher
